Were KL Rahul and Nidhhi Agerwal in a relationship? Actor answers

One knows the popularity that cricketers and Bollywood stars enjoy, considering the two industries are almost considered almost like a ‘religion’ in this country. That’s the reason their work is not that the only aspect about them that makes headlines, and buzz around their personal life is inevitable. And one can only imagine how high this buzz could be when the celebrities from both the industries come together. KL Rahul’s friendship with those from B-Town has made him popular among the gossip mills. While he is currently being linked to Athiya Shetty and Akansha Ranjan, earlier he was rumoured to be dating Niddhi Agerwal, after their pictures from a ‘date’ surfaced. However, the actor has stated that they never went out together and are ‘just good friends.’

Nidhhi on dating KL Rahul

Niddhi Agerwal recently made an appearance on the Telugu version of the chat show Feet Up with the Stars that is hosted by actor Lakshmi Manchu. And like any chat show, questions about personal life are a given. When asked if something was brewing with KL Rahul, Niddhi said, "Zero per cent! I know him, and we are good friends." She also said, "We never even went out together.” Nidhhi and KL Rahul were spotted at a restaurant in Mumbai last year and the pictures had then gone viral. 

But that was not all, since they reportedly hung out during the World Cup held in the United Kingdom earlier this year as well. The Munna Michael actor confirmed that they met again after the match against Pakistan, in which KL Rahul’s 57 and his opening partnership with Rohit Sharma set the platform for a massive win. "I met him in London. I was in London when India won the match against Pakistan and I was like jumping and congratulating everyone," Nidhhi said. Moreover, later in the section, when she was given the option 'Kill, Marry, Hook up'', she chose ‘Kill’ for KL Rahul.

KL Rahul in 2018 had clarified that since he and Niddhi Agerwal were from the same city, Bengaluru, so they have known each other for long. The opening batsman had also said that it was not a ‘date’ since many of their mutual friends were also present at that time. KL Rahul, meanwhile, was spotted chilling with Athiya Shetty and Akansha Ranjan together a few days ago and also bonding on Instagram.
