Senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Sanjay Raut is planning to make the movie and reports of the acclaimed filmmaker directing the movie surfaced recently.

When asked about it in a recent interview, Shoojit called it an ‘interesting project’ and congratulated Raut for his intention to make the biopic.

Raut in a recent interview had announced that he’d seek guidance from his ‘close friend’ Shoojit and that he looked forward to having a ‘talented director’ like him joining the project. He had clarified that no names were shortlisted yet.

And the ‘Madras Café' director shared, according to reports, that he is more than willing to help Raut in his endeavour. However, he clarified that he won’t be able to commit himself fully as a director to the project. Shoojit is currently busy with the work on his upcoming projects and won’t be able to take out time to fully devote himself for it. The ‘Vicky Donor’ filmmaker conveyed his best wishes to the team.

George Fernandes breathed his last in New Delhi on Tuesday at age 88 after a prolonged illness, reportedly Alzheimer's. The late politician held various portfolios in multiple stints as Union Minister and multiple terms as Member of Parliament. His work as a trade unionist, socialist leader and during the Emergency were among the highlights of his glorious political career. Tributes from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other leaders had flooded social media after his passing.
