Bala and Shaitaan Ka Saala are both playing the bald game; Pics inside

Housefull 4's new song Shaitan Ka Saala was released on October 7, 2019. In the song, Akshay Kumar portrays the character of Bala, a rich, spoilt king who also happens to be completely bald. Akshay's trademark dance steps in the song have now started a new challenge where people have been posting videos of themselves emulating Bala's dancing while Shaitan Ka Saala plays in the background. The Bala challenge was invented to promote Akshay's upcoming movie, Housefull 4, but that is not the only movie that the challenge is promoting.

Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala

While Akshay will be playing the role of a bald king named Bala in Housefull 4, coincidentally Ayushmann Khurrana will also be playing a character named Bala in his upcoming movie, also named Bala. And Ayushmann's Bala also happens to be a bald man just like Akshay Kumar's. So it seems like Shaitan Ka Saala and the Bala challenge that spawned from it have been promoting not only Housefull 4 but have also been inadvertently promoting Ayushmann's film, Bala. Now if this double promotion is being done intentionally or not is uncertain.

However, it is undeniable that the Bala challenge has been a good boost for both Housefull 4 and especially for Bala, as it shares the same name as the challenge itself. People less aware of Bollywood might not even know that the Bala challenge was initiated by a song from Housefull 4 and might just think that it is a promotion for Ayushmann's movie that shares the same name. Ayushmann Khurrana himself participated in the Bala Challenge and danced to the song Shaitan Ka Saala, copying the steps of Akshay Kumar's Bala while wearing the makeup for his own character, Bala. Here is Ayushmann's take on the Bala challenge. 

 Ayushmann's Bala is set to release on November 22, 2019. Housefull 4, on the other hand, is going to release this month on October 26, 2019. Bala will be a romantic comedy about a man who is suffering from premature balding while Housefull 4 will be a slapstick comedy with reincarnation as the main theme. All the members of the lead cast for Housefull 4 are going to play two roles, one in the past and one in the present. Akshay Kumar's Bala will be his character in the past setting of Housefull 4.
