Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut sparked major controversy after she claimed that she does not get any support from the industry. The actress at the moment is riding high on the success of 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi', that has now earned over Rs 90 crore since its release. During an interaction with a leading media publication, the 'Queen' actress called out Alia Bhatt and Aamir Khan for not appreciating her performance in the film.
Meanwhile, the same publication asked, Zoya Akhtar to comment about Ranaut's claims. Responding to it, the director lashed back saying that she does not understand the accusations, given the fact that people do appreciate her work.
Speaking about how the film fraternity does not appreciate her, Kangana Ranaut claimed that she had turned up for screenings of 'Dangal', 'Secret Superstar' and 'Raazi', but the two lead actors of the films failed to respond during the release of hers. She further stated that the film fraternity often ignores her, especially during the launch of her films.
On the work front, Kangana was last seen in 'Manikarnika'. The film was one of the most anticipated films of 2019, and the period drama is based on the life and struggles of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi and her war against the British East India Company, during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Apart from Kangana Ranaut the film also stars Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Danny Demzongpa, Jisshu Sengupta and Ankita Lokhande, in pivotal roles. The film that released on January 25, has been successful at the Box Office.
Next, she will be seen in Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari's directorial 'Panga'. For the film, the actress has to not only learn the game but also has to undergo a physical transformation.
