Aquaman 2: Jason Momoa shares intriguing updates about the DC venture

While director James Wan has been tight-lipped about 'Aquaman' sequel, lead star Jason Momoa recently shared some interesting updates about the upcoming venture

Actor Jason Momoa's Aquaman which released in 2018 stormed the box office and had bagged a lot of praise. Now, the actor is all set to reprise his role as the underwater superhero in the second installment of the stand-alone film franchise. While director James Wan has been tight-lipped about the project, lead star Jason Momoa recently shared some interesting updates about the project. During a recent interview, the actor reportedly said that Aquaman 2 is going to be bigger and better.

Jason Momoa said that there’s a lot of things in store on many levels. He said he is stoked at the fan base and what they did with the movie. He also revealed that he has presented a platter full of ideas about the upcoming venture to the makers, Warner Bros in D.C. and director James Wan liked them a lot and are going to include them in the upcoming flick.

Aquaman 2

Previously, Jason Momoa had revealed that the story for Aquaman 2 has been locked and he assured his fans that his beloved beard will be back by the time the film starts shooting. The 39-year-old actor had shaved off his beard as part of a campaign to raise awareness of pollution and recycling.

Talking about the upcoming venture, Momoa had reportedly said, "I was really, really, really, passionate, to do the second one because it's the first time where it's all on Earth. It's combining land and sea, kind of like what I'm doing with this (environmental cause). There are no outside aliens destroying Earth, it's us," PTI quoted him as saying.

"And so I was excited to get back in there, and so I've been working with our previous writer and getting in there, and we've got a locked story, and we're getting into it. And I think it's going to be like in two years or whatever. The beard will be back by then," he added.

Aquaman was a massive worldwide hit with a box office collection of over 1.155 billion USD. The movie released almost a year after Justice League, which was much admired by the DC fans. Now, while Aquaman 2 is set for release fans can wait to find out who will fight Aquaman aka Arthur Curry's next.
