Brad Pitt confronted Harvey Weinstein after Gwyneth Paltrow's accusations who was sexually harassed by the producer. Pitt wanted to support his ex-girlfriend.

Brad Pitt in his recent interview talked about confronting producer Harvey Weinstein after his ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual harassment. Pitt wanted to make sure his ex-girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow had his back after she accused the producer. He told international media that he wanted to make sure that the matter is resolved and nothing happens further as the actress will work on two films with the producer. 

Dynamics of Hollywood "re-calibrated"

Opening up about the confrontation, Pitt acknowledged that during the confrontation he was just a boy from Ozarks on the playground and that’s how they happen to confront things. However, he did mention that now the dynamic in Hollywood seems to be “re-calibrated”. According to Pitt, “The interesting thing is that we, Hollywood specifically, but the workplace, men and women's dynamics is being re-calibrated, re-calibrated in a very good way that is long overdue. And I do think that's an important story to tell,".

Gwyneth Paltrow sexually harassed by Weinstein

Gwyneth Paltrow had previously discussed the alleged incident in an interview. She recalled that she was alone in the room with him and felt weird. The incident happened out of the blue which left her shocked. The Hollywood actress even enlightened Pitt regarding what purportedly occurred at the time, saying the entertainer defied Weinstein and instructed him to never contact Paltrow again. She further added in her interview, “I told him right away and I was very shaken by the whole thing. We were at the opening of Hamlet on Broadway. Harvey was there and Brad Pitt, it was like the equivalent of throwing him against the wall, energetically,".

Trial to begin in January 2020

According to reports, the producer is set to go to trial. The legal proceeding will begin in January 2020. Harvey Weinstein is charged with assault, predatory sexual assault and criminal sexual act dependent on the allegations of two women. The proceeding will carry on and then the verdict will be declared.
