Dwayne Johnson shares emotive message for Kevin Hart post car crash

Dwayne Johnson pens an emotional note for friend and industry-mate Kevin Hart as he is hospitalised suffering major back injuries in a recent car crash.

Comedian-actor Kevin Hart who was hospitalized on Sunday, September 1, after suffering a tragic car-crash, received a heartwarming recovery wish from his friend and industry-mate Dwayne Johnson. The wrestler turned actor who is very popular by his ring name- The Rock, took to social media and penned an emotional note for Kevin Hart. 

Dwayne Johnson who is all set to share screen-space with Kevin Hart in upcoming adventure drama 'Jumanji: The Next Level', shared a still from the same on Instagram, where both of them can be seen riding camels on a dessert. He captioned the image saying, "Stop messing with my emotions brother Kevin Hart. We have a lot more laughing to do together. Love you man. Stay strong."

Kevin Hart suffers major back injuries

Kevin Hart was hospitalized suffering major back injuries after his car crashed into a ditch, according to highway authorities. According to the California Highway Patrol report, Hart was riding in his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda -- a powerful vintage car -- with two more people- Jared Black, and fitness model Rebecca Broxterman in the wee hours of Sunday on Mulholland Highway in Los Angeles County.

Jared Black, who was reportedly driving the vehicle lost control of the car and it rolled into a gully. Black, 28, and Rebecca Broxterman, were trapped inside while Kevin Hart went for help.

As per media reports, Highway Patrol in a statement revealed Jared Black and Kevin Hart "sustained major back injuries as a result of this collision and were transported and treated at nearby hospitals." Broxterman, 31, sustained no injuries. Black, Broxterman's fiance, was determined not to have been driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart's friendship

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are known to be longtime friends and recently shared screen space in 'Fast and Furious' spin-off franchise 'Hobbs and Shaw', where Hart made a cameo. The actors who often pull pranks on each other, also share a number of posts with each other on social media.

'Jumanji: The Next Level'

Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson and Hart's 'Jumanji: The Next Level' is all set to release in December this year. The upcoming fantasy adventure comedy film directed by Jake Kasdan is a sequel to the 2017 film 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' and the fourth installment of the 'Jumanji' franchise. Besides Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart, the film also stars Jack Black, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas, Ser'Darius Blain, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, and Alex Wolff, reprising their roles from the previous film, alongside newcomers Awkwafina, Danny Glover, and Danny DeVito.

On the other hand, Dwayne Johnson latest outing 'Hobbs & Shaw' attained a remarkable feat and emerged as the 'World's no. 1' at the 2019 box office for four weeks in a row beating Marvel's mammoth venture 'Avengers: Endgame'. Moreover, Dwayne Johnson has also completed shooting for adventure film 'Jungle Cruise' which is all set for a 2020 release.
