Game of Thrones season 8 which is the final season of the epic series is the most awaited TV series of the year. A few days back, the makers had dropped the teaser of the show and same has piqued everyone's interest to the highest. Recently, Lena Headey who plays the iconic role of Cersei revealed that she was “really emotional” on the final day of filming GoT.

Headey said on the final day of the shot, she had heard that the show’s creators, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, had prepared speeches for all actors. “I suddenly got really emotional at the end and tried to head down the stairs. They all rushed up and trapped me. And then they gave the speech, and it was really moving,” she said. The actor also revealed what was going in her mind when she was shooting her last scene as Cersei Lannister.

"Well, it’s been nine years. It’s been amazing and I’m happy to go and find new things," she said.

The 45-year-old British actor recently appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! where she told that despite the evil nature of her role, she roots for her. Kimmel also asked  a question whether Cersei will end Game of Thrones season 8 by ascending on the Iron. 

Throne and to the same Lena said, “Someone has to.” The actor also reminisced how after receiving the script for a season, she would always check the end to find out Cersei’s fate as the show has the tendency to kill off its main characters. “They usually give us all of them, and if anyone says they don’t flip to the end, they’re lying,” she revealed.
