Hollywood actor Henry Cavill has reportedly dropped out from his role as Superman. The actor who took up the role of the oldest superhero in 2013 was featured as the same in the last three films. But as per media reports, he has recently parted ways with the production company Warner Bros. Reportedly, the British actor was in talks to play a Superman cameo in the upcoming superhero film 'Shazam!', which stars Zachary Levi in the lead role, but the contract broke due to some undisclosed reason and the actor is reportedly no longer going to play the role of Superman for the production house.

Although several actors have taken up the role of Superman over years, Cavill is one of the most celebrated faces for the character. The actor has managed to win the hearts of the superhero fans with his potential appearance by donning the blue suit and the red cape three times in 2013’s 'Man of Steel,' 2016’s 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 2017’s 'Justice League.'

On Thursday, the 35-year-old took to Instagram and shared a small video of that featured him wearing a t-shirt that reads: 'Krypton Lifting Team' as stared at the camera with his iconic superhero facial expression. The self-made video recorded statuette of Superman coming up to the screen and moving out of the screen. He captioned the video saying "Today was exciting #Superman"

Although he doesn't explain much about the video, fans interpret he ironically represents his journey as Superman in the clip- the way he took up the role of the Krypton-born superhero and how he eventually moved out of the role. Reportedly, the news of Cavill's exit came after Warner Bros. shifted its focus to the 'Supergirl' movie which tells the story of Superman's biological cousin who reveals her hidden powers as an unexpected disaster strikes the Earth. The movie is a joint venture of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment. The makers have hired '22 Jump Street' writer Oren Uziel to pen the script for the same. However, not much details about the producers or the director have been revealed yet. Meanwhile, Henry Cavill was recently featured in Christopher McQuarrie's 'Mission: Impossible- Fallout' along with Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Sean Harris, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Kirby, Michelle Monaghan, and Alec Baldwin. The movie released on July 12, 2018.
