"I went to India a broken woman and have come back ever so slightly more whole. If I can reflect one thing back at our broken society it’s that it is absolutely ludicrous to think we can eradicate pain through law. We must learn to be bedmates with our pain if we can ever hope to diminish its power over us," Evangeline Lilly wrote in the post.

The Wasp further talked about how western society obsessively wants to run from pain, which eventually becomes the root cause of their intense suffering.

"We pick enemies, places to put our pain, and then “fight” them - people, groups, dis-eases, mental afflictions - and all this “fighting” only further hurts us,"  Evangeline Lilly wrote further.

"We pick “causes” to get behind - environmental, humanitarian, political, economic, professional, personal - and then bury our pain in those, and burn ourselves out in the effort. I have done all of this. I want to “be with”. I want to “move through”. I want to become the wisdom I spout," the 'Avengers: Endgame' actress concluded her post as saying.
