The upcoming James Bond film- 'Bond 25' has been creating a lot of buzz ever since the project was announced. Recently, the makers gave out another major update on the project and revealed that celebrated actor Christoph Waltz will be returning as antagonist Ernst Stavro Blofeld in the upcoming venture. As per media reports, the two-time Oscar winner will soon join the cast who is currently shooting in London.

While the iconic character has been previously essayed by actors including Donald Pleasence and Max von Sydow, Waltz first essayed the role in 2015's 'Spectre'.  Beside him, the other actors who will reprise their role include Daniel Craig as James Bond, Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Ben Whishaw, and Rory Kinnear. The film also features Rami Malek as the main villain alongside new entrants Ana De Armas, Lashana Lynch, David Dencik, Billy Magnussen and Dali Benssalah.

As per media reports, 'Bond 25' revolves around Bond, whose peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter [Wright] from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.

The film, however, has had a tumultuous journey. It earlier hit a roadblock following a troubled script process that saw original director Danny Boyle exit the project over creative differences with producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, resulting in a delay to the production and a subsequent delay to the planned release date, originally slated for October 2019. Later another accident followed the makers when a controlled explosion went wrong during the shooting of the film, damaging the exterior of the famous 007 stage at the iconic studio and injuring a crew member outside the stage.
