Jennifer Aniston turns 50, celebrates the night with her 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' gang and ex-husband Brad Pitt

It was the role of Rachel in popular sitcom 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' that made Jennifer Aniston a household name. Jennifer Aniston stunned the audience as she portrayed the role of Rachel Green and was paired opposite David Schwimmer's character of Ross Gellar. Turns out, Jennifer Aniston was not the only actress in the run for being cast as Rachel Green in the popular sitcom.

The actress recently celebrated her 50th birthday. The event was held at the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles and was attended by celebrities such as Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Robert Downey Jr., Reese Witherspoon, Ellen DeGeneres, George and Amal Clooney and ― Aniston’s ex-husband Brad Pitt.

Her famous 'Friends' gang consisting of Courteney Cox and Lisa Kudrow were also present.

Aniston is also known for starring in various films, but her stint in the popular sitcom ''F.R.I.E.N.D.S' is most loved. 

Jennifer Aniston was the youngest cast member on the sets of 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S', while Lisa Kudrow who essayed the role of Phoebe Buffay was the eldest being 31 years old. 'F.R.I.E.N.D.S' went on to successfully run for 10 seasons before its finale in 2004, making it one of the most successful television shows of all time that aired over a period of 10 years. Turns out that several actresses were considered for the role of Rachel Green including Jane Krakowski and Courtney Cox.

However, Courtney Cox ended up playing the character of Monica Gellar who is the best friend of Jennifer Aniston's character Rachel Green and sister to David Schwimmer's character of Ross Gellar.
