MCU Phase 4: From 'Black Widow' to 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness', full list of films to be released under Marvel-Disney banner

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been announced on Sunday, July 21, at San Diego Comic-Con 2019

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been announced on Sunday, July 21, at San Diego Comic-Con 2019 and it is sure to take to by surprise. Marvel Studios took to the stage in Hall H and revealed the list of upcoming movies and TV shows under Marvel-Disney banner. It includes a number of standalone films including prequels and incidents post 'Avengers: Endgame'.

Here is the list of upcoming Marvel ventures:

The Eternals

Marvel president Kevin Feige made the official announcement of 'The Eternals' at the Comic-Con. The much-anticipated venture starring Angelina Jolie, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff, Brian Tyree Henry, Salma Hayek, Lia McHugh, and Don Lee is scheduled to hit the theaters on November 6, 2020. It will be directed by Chloé Zhao. 

The Falcon and The Winter Soldier

Finally, its time to see how Falcon uses Captain America's shield, as a spin-off franchise featuring Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Daniel Brühl is in making. The plot of the film which is expected to be after Cap's retirement from the Avengers is expected to hit the theaters in fall 2020. 

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Marvel Studios is all set to launch its classic comic character on-screen. 'Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' starring Simu Liu, Awkwafina, and Tony Leung is all set ofr a silver-screen debut. It will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and is all set to hit the theaters on February 12, 2021.

Wanda-Vision

Finally, the much-loved pair of MCU, Wanda and Vision are all set to get a stand-alone web-series which will be a prequel to 'Avengers: Infinity War'. The original series starring Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, and Teyonah Parris will release in Spring 2020 and stream exclusively on Disney+.

Loki

And its time for what many of the Marvel fans were waiting for! The master of manipulation and deceit, Loki, has got its own series with Tom Hiddleston resuming his character. It will release in Spring 2021 and will stream exclusively on Disney+.

 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Finally, Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange is all set to get a sequel. The upcoming venture titled 'Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness' also stars Elizabeth Olsen in the lead. While Scott Derrickson will return as the director of the second installment of the standalone franchise, it will be releasing in theaters on May 7, 2021.

WHAT IF...?

The famous 'WHAT IF...?' comics will be adapted for the screen. Marvel Studios announced that an animated series in on the comics is in making. It will star Jeffrey Wright as the voice of The Watcher and many actors from across the MCU reprising their roles as a voice talent. Streaming exclusively on Disney+ in Summer 2021

 Hawkeye

Yes, SHIELD agent Clint Barton is all set to return with a new original series that will also introduce Kate Bishop. Jeremy Renner will reprise his role as Hawkeye in the upcoming project which is all set to release in Fall 2021. 

Thor: Love and Thunder

After making a cameo appearance in 'Avengers: Endgame' Natalie Portman is finally set to return in the upcoming 'Thor' film. The Hollywood diva will join Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in the upcoming venture which is all set to hit the theaters on November 5, 2021. It will be directed by Taika Waititi who has helmed 'Thor: Ragnarok'. 

Black Widow 

The much-anticipated 'Black Widow' stand-alone film has finally got a release date. Starring Scarlett Johansson as SHIELD agent Natasha Romanoff, the film is all set to hit the theaters on May 1, 2020. It will reportedly also star David Harbour, Florence Pugh, O-T Fagbenle, and Rachel Weisz, in the lead and will be directed by Cate Shortland. 

Blade

Marvel Comics' Blade is all set to make its silver-screen debut. During the Comic-con 2019, Kevin Feige introduced Mahershala Ali as 'Blade' in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The release date of the project is yet to be revealed. 

However, there are no announcements of  'Guardians vol. 3', 'Fantastic 4', the next X-men franchise or the second installments of Chadwick Boseman's 'Black Panther' or Brie Larson 'Captain Marvel 2', which were expected to release in the upcoming chapter of the MCU.
