Hollywood stars - Michael Keaton, Samuel L. Jackson, and Maggie Q are to be cast together in the upcoming action-thriller The Asset. Martin Campbell who directed James Bond film Casino Royale is reportedly set to direct the thriller. Arthur Sarkissian, Moshe Diamant, and Rob Van Norde have jointly produced it. Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Jeffrey Greenstein, Jonathan Yunger, Gareth West, Christa Campbell, and Lati Grobman are executive producers in the film, while Lonnie Ramati will serve as a co-executive producer. Millennium Media is the film's media partner and production will begin its shooting on Jan. 8, 2020 in multiple locations such as London, Bucharest, and DaNang, Vietnam.

Details of the plot of 'The Asset'

The film's plot follows the story of two of the world's top assassins for hire who have a mysterious past from Vietnam, and travel the globe competing for high-profile contracts. Richard Wenk has written the script in which Jackson plays a mentor of Maggie Q who gets murdered. The two assassins then travel to Vietnam to search for the killer. Jackson will have a limited role and it is not known if he will have any scenes with Keaton.

Keaton, Jackson, Maggie's ongoing ventures

On the work front, Keaton is currently working in Aaron Sorkin‘s drama The Trial of the Chicago 7. Keaton had to drop out of the John McAfee comedy King of the Jungle, to star in The Asset. On the other hand, Jackson will be seen with his MCU buddy Anthony Mackie in Apple’s original drama The Banker. He will also be seen in the Millennium’s sequel to The Hitman’s Bodyguard, which also stars Salma Hayek. Likewise, Maggie Q is starring in Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island, which Sony will release on February 14. AFM.
