Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown was recently called out by fans for faking a skincare tutorial in a video she uploaded on Instagram. She created the video to promote her Florence by Mills skincare range where she was promoted products such as face mist, scrub, cleanser, moisturizer, and lip oil as a part of her nighttime skincare routine. The video received a lot of criticism as many claimed she faked the tutorial and had her make-up on throughout the video.

The video was later deleted by Millie after the extreme reactions by internet users.

The Instagram video that received criticism

The video, which is now deleted, showed Millie Bobby Brown starting the tutorial using a scrub and saying that she was using it to prevent her from getting a pimple next day. She then says in the video that she doesn't use any makeup when she is not working.

Then she shows the tube of a face wash from her skincare range, and uses it. After that, she used a moisturizer, which she called her favourite product from the skincare regime.

At last, she is seen applying a lip oil on her lips for moisturising.

Pretending to use the products, claim netizens

Internet users have criticized the actress for faking her skincare tutorial to promote her brand. The users say that she was pretending to use the products from her own skincare range. Fans noticed how her eye and lip make-up is as it as throughout the video. Furthermore, they could not see any skincare product on her fingers while she rubs her face when she used both her cleanser and then scrub.

"I can't believe she's literally just dry rubbing her hands together and rubbing her face. Like is this a prank?" one fan wrote on Reddit. Another user wrote "I don't ever believe that celebs are ever selling us the skincare routine they actually use. But I still expect them to be willing to use it at least once! If you're not willing to even put it on your face to make a sale, why should anyone else use it for real?".

Another user commented, "WTH was this. Do brands really think we don't have eyes, like for real?"

There were, however, some fans who came up Millie Bobby Brown's defence asking people to spare her because she was a child. She, later on, deleted the video that sparked criticism.
