Ncuti Gatwa is currently enjoying the success of his latest release, Barbie. The film which has emerged as the highest grossing Hollywood film for the year, even as it continues its theatrical run, featured Gatwa in a version of Ken - further variations of which, were portrayed by multiple actors.Gatwa recently revealed his personal experience working with Ryan Gosling, who played the foremost Ken character in the Margot Robbie led film.

In an interview with Elle, Ncuti Gatwa opened up about his time shooting for Barbie and major highlight of his experience on sets. He revealed that he had been nervous during the first month on set, a hiccup he eventually got over. Mentioning Ryan Gosling, the actor revealed that when he met the latter's eyes, how blue they were, made him 'fall over'.

He said, "I was so nervous I hardly spoke for the first month...There was a time when I was talking to Greta and I turned around and Ryan Gosling was looking at me, and his eyes were so blue that I just...fell over. I just drowned in his eyes."

Further elaborating on his experience, Gatwa affirmed that Gerwig's Barbie sets were the most heartening sets he had worked in. He said, "I noticed that it was also the most kind, empathetic set I’ve ever been on." The actor also revealed how Margot Robbie took the entire cast to see Magic Mike on stage. Notably, Gatwa shared screen credits with some of his Sex Education co-stars - namely Emma Mackey and Connor Swindells - who were also in the film.
