'Peter Rabbit 2' trailer shows new adventures in Peter's journey

The sequel to the fantasy animation film, 'Peter Rabbit 2' will hit the theatres this easter, and on October 17 its first trailer was launched by Sony Pictures

The trailer of fantasy animation film Peter Rabbit was launched by Sony Pictures Entertainment on October 17 giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect this Easter when the film hits the theatres. The trailer shows the main character Peter, with the voice of James Corden, moving out of the small town onto a new adventure and travelling across the country. The trailer also gives a sneak peek into the storyline of the film which begins with the wedding of Rose Byrne's character, Bea with Jeremy, the role played by Domhnall Gleeson. Peter is inspired to move alone to a new place after Bea and Jeremy leave the house for a trip together. Sony Pictures shared the 2 minutes and 30 seconds trailer on their social media channels with the caption “new mischief”.

Peter feels unwanted

The reason Peter decides to move out of their house is that he feels unwanted. The majority of the story of Peter Rabbit 2 is reportedly expected to move around the popular character from Beatrix Potter books and his adventures with his friends. The original film was released in 2018 and saw huge success in the box office by doing a business of $115 million at the domestic level. The first part was directed by Will Gluck and is also behind the camera for its sequel.

Set to hit the theatres

Peter Rabbit 2 is set to hit the theatres on April 3, 2020, however, it will make it to the Indian theatres a few days later, on April 17. In the United Kingdom, the film will be viewed faster than the most world on March 27, 2020. The trailer already has more than 507 thousand views in less than 24 hours and even the netizens were seen excited about the release of the film. The voice cast of the movie also includes Margot Robbie, Elizabeth Debicki, Daisy Ridley and Fayssal Bazzi. Gleeson and Byrne are the live-action human characters.
