Shawn Mendes reveals he's officially dating Camila Cabello since July

Canadian singer Shawn Mendes recently revealed that he has been dating Cuban-American singer Camilla Cabello officially since July 4. The 21-year-old star made the revelation at a Q&A in Adelaide, Australia whose footage has been making the rounds on social media. Shawn answered a fan's question about how long he's actually been with Camila. He wasn't reluctant to answer the question about Camila unlike other Q & A's and told the fan that they have only been dating for a few months.

"We haven't been dating for that long. We have been dating since July 4th officially," Shawn said.

July marks Camilla and Shawn's first public appearance

The date can also be traced back to the first time the two made their first public appearance together. Shawn's statement follows the news of Camilla's breakup with her previous boyfriend, Matthew Hussey. Media reported the two getting cozy when they both attended the Red White and Bootsy July 4th party at Nobu. The report mentions that they were holding hands and looking very intimate. A video also captured them by a pool.

The couple's PDA

Camila was also seen at Shawn's concert the same weekend, and added snaps of her night to her Instagram stories where she called him amazing and unreal. The two were also seen together walking around West Hollywood and paparazzi even got a photo of them. It was following these appearances that media and fans presumed them to be dating. Shawn in a separate interview recently revealed that a typical date with Camila will consist of eating and watching movies.

Camilla and Shawn's Senorita marks their romance

Camilla and Shawn have been close for years and seemed quite romantic in their duet song - Senorita. The lovebirds performed their hit Senorita together for the first time since its June release at the MTV Video Music Awards after a month of its release. Cabello was seen in a sheer white long-sleeved gown during the performance and stayed several steps away from Mendes. The two then gradually hugged each other and stopped singing to gaze into each other's eyes.
