The Haunting of Hill House sequel on Netflix is scarier than season 1

The first season of the Haunting of Hill House, which made its debut on Netflix, certainly gave goosebumps and chills to many of its viewers. Several viewers claimed that the show should come with disclaimers. Mike Flanagan, the director of the series claimed that the upcoming season will be full of surprises and will be scarier than the previous season.

Haunting of Hill House, a Netflix series was based on Shirley Jackson's gothic novel. The entire series is focused on the Crain family who shifts in the new house and aims to renovate it. But they are unaware that the house is spirit-infested. The present selves are haunted by their psychological and supernatural demons. Mike Flanagan, has said that The Haunting of Bly Manor, the sequel of Haunting of Hill House, will scare the absolute out of its fans. He told the international media that the series will be a lot scarier and frightening, one might get a minor attack.

The sequel of Haunting of Hill House will be scarier

The Haunting of Bly Manor is based on Henry James's 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw. According to the story a governess is appointed to take care of two kids Miles and Flora, who recently lost their parents. After a while, she starts to see ghostly figures in the house. In an interview, Flanagan said that “The most exciting thing about 'Bly Manor', for me, is in the way that we got to expand on the Shirley Jackson universe in season one. While season two is inspired mostly by 'The Turn of the Screw', which has been adapted so many times, we were also able to mine the rest of Henry James's ghost stories to fill out the season.” 

He further added, “Even if you know 'The Turn of the Screw' really well, and a lot of people do there's a new 'Turn of the Screw' movie coming out in like January. They come out every three months, whether you need it or not," Flanagan told Digital Spy. He said creating the second season has been a great journey.”
