Tommy Mottola to receive star honour on Hollywood Walk of Fame

American music executive Tommy Mottola will receive a Hollywood Walk of Fame star honour soon. As reported by foreign media, he will be joined by his celebrity friends like Gloria and Emilio Estefan to receive the star honour. He was the head of Sony Music Entertainment for about 15 years. The event will be hosted by David Foster to celebrate the music mogul's achievements in the industry. He is popularly known for recognizing the talents of a bunch of artists such as his former wife Mariah Carey, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Hall and Oates, Carly Simon, Ricky Martin and John Mellencamp. His star will be at the location 6270 Hollywood Blvd., which is near to the star of his wife, the Mexican artist Thalia. He is presently the head of the Mottola Group.

Julia Roberts, Chris Hemsworth and others in the list

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame Selection Committee released a list of celebrities who will be receiving a star in the year 2020. The list features a range of top celebrities from TV, films, music, radio and others. In the motion pictures category, Hollywood actors such as Julia Roberts, Octavia Spencer, Chris Hemsworth, Mahershala Ali, Laurence Fishburne, Ruth E. Carter, and Spike Lee are all set to receive the star. Names such as Christina Applegate, Andy Cohen, Cindy Crawford, Dr Phil McGraw, Terry Crews, Milo Ventimiglia, Wendy Williams, and Kathie Lee Gifford and others will be a part of the celebs from television. In the music section, artists like Billy Idol, 50 Cent, Alicia Keys will receive the honour.

The Selection Committee Chair and Walk of Famer Vin Di Bona "This year's choices were particularly unique. We were able to recognize the talents of 35 artists who have already built a legacy here in Hollywood,". "Also, we were able to celebrate many new talented artists who've touched our hearts in film, television, radio and a variety of musical categories," added Di Bona.
