Warner Bros announces 'Annabelle Comes Home', reveals release date with a spooky teaser

After announcing the making of the third installment of the 'Annabelle' franchise last October, makers have now announced the title and release date of the same.

After announcing the making of the third installment of the 'Annabelle' franchise last October, makers have now announced the title and release date of the same. On, Saturday, March 16, the horror movie powerhouse announced that the sixth title in 'The Conjuring' universe, is titled 'Annabelle Comes Home' and is all set to hit the theaters on June 28, 2019.

Warner Bros. took to it's official Twitter handle and shared a teaser announcing the same. The text teaser has background music of a crackling smile of a little girl which is spooky indeed.

The makers reportedly revealed information about the plot of the third installment of the 'Annabelle'. As per media reports, the Annabelle threequel resumes after the Warrens bring the Annabelle doll home and store it inside their famous museum of Haunted artifacts. Although they believed Annabelle's power was reduced and she was in the place where she could no longer wreak havoc: their Artifacts Room. But the obnoxious devil finds its way to awaken the room’s evil which sets its sights on a new target- the Warrens’ ten-year-old daughter Judy. However, the young girl, along with her teenage babysitter cousin and the cousin’s friend, square off against the evil doll.

Meanwhile, Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter and announced that the Hollywood venture will release in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telegu in India. "Mark the date... #AnnabelleComesHome - the latest installment in #TheConjuring universe franchise - to release on 28 June 2019... In #English, #Hindi, #Tamil and #Telugu. Official announcement by #WarnerBros:" he wrote in a post.

The upcoming project is scripted and directed by Gary Dauberman. In fact, he will mark his directorial debut with the upcoming venture. American actors Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprised their roles in the third 'Annabelle' installment as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, respectively. This is for the first time in 'The Conjuring' universe, that Ed and Lorraine will appear in one of the film series’ spinoff title. The pair who previously marked their appearance as the lead in 2013's 'The Conjuring' and 2016's 'The Conjuring 2' has won the hearts of the audience with their performance. However, the actors will reportedly be in a supporting capacity in the film.

Apart from Wilson and Farmiga, the film will also star 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' fame Madison Iseman, and Mckenna Grace who will take up the role of Judy. The film will be produced by James Wan under the banner of his Atomic Monster banner along with Peter Safran of The Safran Company, Atomic Monster's Michael Clear will executive produce the flick. 'The Nun' which is the latest film of the franchise released earlier this year, reportedly, it became the highest grossing film.
