'Avengers: Endgame' is the one film that is on everyone's mind as 2019 is progressing swiftly. The film which is directed by Russo brothers will hit the screens on April 26, 2019. While fans can't wait for the superhero extravaganza to hit the screens, for one Marvel fan, it is literally a race against time.
An Australian man by the name of Alexander, who is terminally ill, had requested the makers of 'Avengers: Endgame' for special early screening before his passing. Suffering from a rare genetic disorder, Alex shared his heartbreaking story that he has cancer in the liver, mouth and that he is suffering from a bone marrow failure. He also added that he would probably not survive until April when the movie will actually come out. He requested the makers if an early screening is possible for him.
As soon as his heartbreaking story came out, netizens campaigned for him on social media and thanks to their combined efforts, Alex's dream has now become a reality. An emotional and ecstatic Alex shared that Disney has reached out to him and that he cried when he received the mail. He also thanked each and everyone who made it possible for him to experience the superhero extravaganza before fate inevitably catches up. The fan also revealed that his sister sadly passed away from the same genetic disorder and that he will be leaving behind a girlfriend and a dog.
After hearing this tear-jerker of a tale, many emotional fans took to Twitter to express solidarity with the Aussie native. Take a look at some of the reactions here:
