Ten days before the Emmy Awards 2019, the telecast producers Don Mischer Productions and Done+Dusted unveiled the initial group of presenters for the big ceremony on September 18. It included various big names for presenters like Zendaya, Michael Douglas, Viola Davis, Taraji P. Henson, Billy Porter, Angela Bassett, and Naomi. There might be a surprise treat for viewers who can expect to witness few late-night hosts honor the awardees including Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert. Along with these huge stars, the cast members from the popular HBO series, Game Of Thrones like Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Kit Harington, Lena Headey, Maisie Williams along with others who will be seen giving out awards.

Emmy Awards

The 71st Emmy Awards will be aired live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on September 22 on Fox. The previous month, it was reported that the Primetime Emmy Awards will take place without a host. Emmy awards are the much-awaited award event to honor the excellent work of people in the TV industry and will take place on Sunday. Last year, these Emmy awards were held without a host in 2003, which was also aired on Fox network. The reason the awards were being considered to be hostless is that they had too many names on the board.

Nominations of the awards

The nominations were announced by D'Arcy Carden and Ken Jeong on July 16, this year. The HBO series, Game of Thrones with 14 nominations including nine for acting, and three for direction. When They See Us had eleven nominations followed by Barry with nine. Game of Thrones has also established a record of receiving most Emmy Awards in the same year, by any comedy or drama series with 32 awards. Game of Thrones broke the record which was previously taken by NYPD Blue for the last 25 years of scoring 26 nominations for their first season in 1994.
