Setting The Scene

The intriguing trailer leaves behind a series of questions which includes the curiosity about Ayushmann’s character being blind in the film or not. Bringing the magic of theatre on celluloid, Sriram takes things up a notch post his impeccable ‘Badlapur’ success. ‘AndhaDhun’ revolves around the story of Akash (blind or not) who gets tangled in the cobwebs of karma putting forth a nail-biting performance by all the characters in the film. With a brilliant start, this film wraps you in its spell within the first five minutes.

Plot

Akash, who is a pianist, meets Sophie through sheer fate post which they become friends. She turns into his lady luck helping him find a job at her father’s restaurant. Everything goes well for the two until he bumps into veteran actor Pramod Singh essayed by Anil Dhawan, who has done a fantastic job narrating what happens to celebs once they go off the limelight. Pramod’s wife Simi essayed by Tabu is one of the highlights of the film. Just like her recent films, Tabu stands out with her acting chops with Ayushmann and Radhika in tow. ‘AndhaDhun’ is a film that you must not miss.

Verdict

Media and masses have been waiting for ‘AndhaDhun’ to release for a reason. From the gripping trailer to the storyline that makes your heart skip a beat, this film is exciting, gripping and leaves behind an important message that makes it a complete package for success. Kudos to the cast and crew which brought an intriguing work of art to the celluloid.
