American vocalist Ariana Grande had a hell of a year in 2018. From her split with fiance Pete Davidson to the death of his ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, she had reportedly gone through quite a lot of emotional turmoils. However, the singer seems to be recovering as she kicked off 2019 with her ex Ricky Alvarez.

Ariana who claims to be friends with her former boyfriend footballer Ricky Alvarez was recently spotted having a gala time with him, as they enjoyed a stroll together on the streets of New York City. The 25-year-old singer wore a puffy Fendi jacket with black thigh-high boots and a matching black face mask while Alvarez chose to keep it casual in khakis, a white t-shirt, a black jacket, and a navy blue ski cap.

Moreover, the 'Sweetener' singer even shared a few video clips of their day out on her Instagram story. Ariana and Ricky who dated for nearly a year called off their relationship in 2016.

This comes just a day after the singer joked on Twitter that she wouldn't be dating anyone for the rest of this year or probably her life. On New Year's Day, Grande came across a fan's post with the headline: "Who Is Ariana Dating NOW?! She responded, "Can they tell me too?"

"Spoiler: for the rest of this year/probably my life: It's no one. Please refer back to this tweet for future questions," she wrote in another tweet.

On the professional front, Ariana recently dedicated a song 'Thank U, Next' to all her ex-boyfriends including Davidson, Miller and Alvarez, which is breaking all records lately. The song had been at the top of the charts for the past seven consecutive weeks.

Moreover, recently she cancelled her highly anticipated Las Vegas performance due to illness. This concert at The Chelsea in The Cosmopolitan hotel in Las Vegas on December 29 would have been her first since splitting with fiance Pete Davidson. Grande took to Instagram to reveal the news while apologising to her fans.

From the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller in September to her split with Pete Davidson, it has been a tough year for the 25-year-old. She has also been open about the emotional toll the 2017 suicide bombing at her Manchester concert took on her.
