Coldplay is a British band formed in London in 1996. The rock band comprises of lead vocalist/pianist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman, and drummer Will Champion. One of the most popular bands in the world, Coldplay, has won 7 Grammy Awards among other honours. The band has released eight albums and has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. 1. Viva La Vida

Viva La Vida was the title track of Coldplay’s fourth album, Viva La Vida or the Death and All His Friends. It was the first Coldplay track to top both the UK Singles Charts and Billboard Hot 100. The song was written by all members of the band together, using extensive Christian and historical references. Viva La Vida won the Grammy Award for the Song of the Year in 2009.

2Something Just Like This

Coldplay released Something Just Like This in their tenth extended play Kaleidoscope EP. They collaborated with American EDM duo The Chainsmokers for the song. The song peaked at #3 in the Billboard Hot 100 while it reached #2 in US Singles Chart. It was nominated for The Grammy Award for Best Pop Dou/Group Performance at the 60th Grammy Awards.

3. Speed Of Sound

Speed of Sound is the lead single of Coldplay’s third album X & Y. Written by all members, the song peaked at #8 in the Billboard Hot 100 while also reaching #2 in the US Singles Charts. The song was awarded Song of the Year by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. It was also nominated twice for the Grammy Awards.

4.  A Sky Full Of Stars

A Sky Full of Stars was released as the third single from Coldplay’s sixth album- Ghost Stories. The band co-wrote and produced the song with Avicii. The song peaked at #10 in the Billboard Hot 100, while it also finished in the Top 10 of the US Single Charts. It also topped the Billboard Hot Dance Club chart. It was Coldplay’s first-ever dance track.

5. Adventure of a Lifetime

Adventure of a Lifetime was released as the lead single of Coldplay’s seventh studio album, A Head Full of Dreams. The song peaked at #7on the US Singles Charts while reaching #13 on the Billboard Hot 100. American magazine Rolling Stone ranked the song at #41 in the top 50 songs of the year.
