Doja Cat, one of the popular American musicians, is set to host the upcoming 2021 MTV Video Music Awards after being nominated under five categories. The singer made this announcement through her social media handle and left her fans amazed. Many of her fans could not believe that she was telling the truth and was just messing with them.
Doja Cat to be the host of MTV Video Music Awards 2021
Doja Cat recently took to her Instagram handle and posted a short video clip through which she informed her fans about her being the host of the show. In the caption, she wrote, “I’m hosting the 2021 #VMAs this year Wowowowowowow Tune in on 9/12 at 8pm on @mtv”.
All of her fans were delighted to receive this information and took to Doja Cat’s Instagram post to drop congratulatory messages for her. Many of them also expressed their amazement by stating that after knowing that she will be hosting the show, they had a reason to watch the award ceremony. Doja Cat has been nominated under five categories: coveted artist of the year, video of the year, best collaboration, best art direction and best visual effects. The MTV Video Music Awards 2021 will stream live from New York City on 12 September at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.
