Linkin Park is a California based rock band widely known for their studio albums and collaborations. The band’s current lineup includes Mike Shinoda, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell and Joe Hahn. Recently, the band’s song Numb made rounds in the news for being the highest watched rock music videos on YouTube. Here is more on the band’s achievement.

Numb officially is the most-watched rock music video on YouTube

Numb is famous rock song from the second studio album of the California based rock band Linkin Park. Recently, the music video of number was recorded to be the highest watched rock music videos of all time on YouTube. The song has a total of over 1.2 billion views on the popular video search engine YouTube. Numb does not only have a song video which is the most-watched rock music video on YouTube, but it also has been made into several popular covers. The song is the rock anthem for the fans of Linkin Park. Numb got a rise in its views after the death of Chester Bennington, its leading man.

Numb is the most heard songs from Linkin Park’s second studio album Meteora (2003). It is the most listened songs of the band in all time.  The song featured all the members of the band including the lead singer Chester Bennington. In the following year after Meteora’s release, Numb was also made into a collaboration track named Numb Encore, which featured the renowned rapper Jay Z and the band. The song also managed to stay on the Billboard Hot 100 charts for over 30 weeks.

Linkin Park is a band that rose to popularity with their first studio album Hybrid Theory. They have produced seven studio albums – Hybrid Theory, Meteora,  Minutes to Midnight, A Thousand Suns, Living Things, The Hunting Party and One More Light. Their lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide following the demise of his friend Chris Cornell. They have also collaborated with artists like Jay Z, Pusha T, and Steve Aoki on several tracks. Some of their best songs are In The End, Numb, Castle of Glass and New Divide. Their songs have also been featured in the Transformer movie series, and the 2014 film Need for Speed.

Chester Bennington

Chester Bennington was the lead singer of the alternative rock band Linkin Park. He joined the band in the year 1999. Chester Bennington recorded all the songs of the rock band until the day he committed suicide on July 20, 2017, after the release of their seventh studio album One More Light. After Chester Bennington committed suicide, his fellow bandmates and his fans were left grief-stricken. Linkin Park also had a memorial concert in memory of their lead singer Chester Bennington on October 25, 2017, at the Hollywood Bowl. The event was titled Linkin Park & Friends Celebrate Life In Honor of Chester Bennington. Steve Aoki, Machine Gun Kelly and many other renowned musicians joined them for the event.
