Olivia Rodrigo reacts to feud rumours with Taylor Swift
In an interview with Rolling Stone, Olivia Rodrigo made it clear that she avoids engaging in conflicts and prefers a laid-back approach. She spoke about her tendency to keep a small circle of friends, primarily consisting of her close-knit group and her mother. The singer humorously mentioned that instead of dwelling on social media speculation, she prefers to explore alien-conspiracy theories.
"I don't beef with anyone. I'm very chill. I keep it to myself. There's nothing to say. There are so many Twitter conspiracy theories. I only look at alien-conspiracy theories," she said.

What are Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift feuding over?
Rumours had circulated about a potential rift between Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift after the former credited Swift and Jack Antonoff with 50% of the songwriting credits and royalties for her tracks 1 Step Forward, 3 Steps Back (inspired by Swift's New Year's Day) and Deja Vu (inspired by Swift's Cruel Summer) in 2021.
Rodrigo did not confirm whether Swift had specifically requested songwriting credits on these tracks. She explained that her involvement in the credit allocation process was limited, and it was more of a collaborative effort among teams. The singer, who had initially cited Swift as an inspiration, admitted that the experience had taken her by surprise, particularly since she was relatively new to the industry. She expressed that she wouldn't personally request credits from a younger artist inspired by her work, hinting that Swift demanded credits.
