The first look of ‘Pattas’ featured Dhanush in a funky avatar as he is seen with bright glares, chains, jacket, ripped jeans and spiked hair. It wouldn’t be wrong to term it as a milder version of his ‘Maari’ look.

Netizens went gaga over the look, calling it ‘Marana Mass’, ‘looking Thalaivar as a college boy’, ‘Birthday treat’ and more.

The film, to be directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, will also star Mehreen Pirzada, Sneha, Naveen Chandra among others.

Earlier in the day, Kajal Aggarwal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Hansika Motwani, Prasanna, Sudeep, Anirudh Ravichander, had conveyed their greetings to the birthday boy with adorable words. From ‘powerhouse of talent’, ‘gem of a person’, ‘emotional pillar’, there were praises galore for Dhanush.
