'Epic blockbuster': Mahesh Babu joined by Vijay Deverakonda-Rashmika Mandanna as ‘Maharshi’ opens big; lead actor pens sweet note of gratitude

25 is always a special number, and Mahesh Babu would vouch for that as his 25th film ‘Maharshi’ has taken a record-breaking opening at the box office. The actor celebrated the occasion with wife, former actress Namrata Shirodkar, co-star Pooja Hegde and other members of the fraternity like Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna as they termed the movie ‘Epic blockbuster’. The ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ star also penned a special note thanking fans for making his 25th his 'biggest' while conveying his gratitude to Vamshi Paidpally and other members of the team for the 'overwhelming success.'

According to reports, ‘Maharshi’ has taken the highest opening for Mahesh Babu, beating his previous release ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’. The movie has reportedly earned a share of Rs 24 crore in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh alone. The collections in non-Telugu-speaking areas like Chennai have been good too. 

‘Geetha Govindam’ co-stars Vijay and Rashmika, who are gearing up for ‘Dear Comrade’ release, also joined the team for the celebrations in the pictures that have surfaced on social media. 

Namrata too exulted about watching the movie again with her friends and Pooja, as she even shared posters of the movie that termed the movie ‘Epic blockbuster.’

Mahesh on Friday took to social media and wrote, “My journey so far has been very special & Thank You All for making my 25th... my BIGGEST!!! Thanking all my fans and the audiences for an outstanding response. My amazing team of #Maharshi, my director @directorvamshi and I, THANK YOU ALL from the bottom of our hearts for this overwhelming success."
