Malayalam Actors Dileep And Kavya Madhavan Welcome Their First Child Together

Malayam Actors Dileep and Kavya Madhavan, issued a joint statement on Facebook, as they welcomed their first child together on Friday

Popular Malayalam actor-couple Dileep and Kavya Madhavan have welcomed their first child as a couple. The duo has been blessed with a baby girl on Friday. According to reports, Kavya delivered the baby at 4.45 am at a hospital in Kochi. Dileep took to Facebook to announce the good news in Malayalam. In his post, he said that on the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, first daughter Meenakshi has now got a little sister. The 'Welcome to Central Jail' actor added that the mother and the child are healthy and fine. He also thanked his fans and followers for the good wishes and love on welcoming the latest addition to the family.

The pair, which has worked on multiple films together, had tied the knot on November 25, 2016. It was a second marriage for both of them. Dileep was earlier married to another popular actor Manju Warrier for 17 years, and they have a daughter together Meenakshi. They split in 2015. Kavya was married to Nishal Chandra, and in 2011, they too had parted ways.

There was huge speculation regarding Dileep and Kavya's affair in the media, before they surprised by tying the knot. The former had clarified in multiple interviews that Kavya was not responsible for his divorce with Manju Warrier. Dileep had made headlines when he embroiled in the controversy surrounding the kidnapping and molestation of a famous female actor in the film industry. He was also convicted and jailed, serving 85 days in prison, before getting bail in October last year. Kavya was approached by the investigation team in the controversy.

His name has also been dragged into the controversy surrounding  Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA) after several stars like Mohanlal got flak for retaining him in the body. Several well-known names like Revathy, Parvathy, Rima Kallingal, among others had expressed their objection at that time. On the professional front, Dileep will next feature in the film 'Professor Dinkan', which is slated for release in December. Kavya, on the other hand, has not been seen on the silver screen since 2016.
