Mamangam is a Malayalam historical period drama. Earlier, during the festival of Mamangam, which took place at the banks of Bharathapuzha in Tirunavaya, soldiers from various places used to come in to fight a battle. Although the Malayalam language teaser was released a week ago, the film recently dropped its first teaser in Hindi.
Set in AD 1695, the teaser begins with a scene from the festival with the narrator explaining that once you visit the place, the memories can never be forgotten. The story revolves around the life of a 12-year-old who changed history and the hero she idolises. Taking about her maternal uncle, the kid says that there never was a warrior like her uncle and there never will be one. The battle will be the conclusion to a 280-year war.
Trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to his social media to share the teaser of the film.
Earlier in June, Mamangam's poster was released. Without revealing too much, the poster easily pointed towards the historic theme of the film. The posters showed Mammootty, in a warrior position, holding a spear and a shield. The poster also shows the 12-year-old kid with a sword about to attack. Here is the film's poster as shared by one of the cast members, Anu Sithara.
Directed by M Padmakumar, the film is produced by Venu Kunnappilly. The film stars the famous south-Indian star, Padma Shri Mammootty alongside Neeraj Madhav and Anu Sithara. The film is set to hit the screens on November 21, 2019.
