Rajinikanth's Upcoming Venture 'Petta' Unveiled Its Second Look Poster

The makers of the upcoming Tamil action film 'Petta' released a new poster of the film on Thursday, October 4. A month after releasing the film’s motion poster, Sun Pictures have released a new look of Megastar Rajinikanth who will feature as the lead actor in the film. With a fiery orange colour in the background, the poster features Rajinikanth wearing a white dhoti paired with a white shirt and a gold watch on his wrist. The actor completes his traditional look with sacred ash smeared on his forehead and a horseshoe moustache.

However, this look of the actor is absolutely contrasting to his first look motion poster that released last month in which he has been seen donning a sassy look with jeans, shirt, jacket, sunglass and a scarf on his neck.

Produced by Kalanithi Maran, 'Petta' is scripted and directed by 'Pizza' fame Karthik Subbaraj, who will mark the film to be his fifth full-length feature. Besides Rajinikanth, the film also stars Trisha, Vijay Sethupathi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, M. Sasikumar, Bobby Simha, Simran, Guru Somasundaram, Megha Akash, Sananth Reddy, Ramdoss, Malavika Mohanan, Deepak Paramesh, and Manikandan R. Achari. As per media reports, the film includes a lot of computer graphics for which Prime Focus has been signed up to take care of the VFX. However, the shooting of the film is continuing in several locations including Varanasi, Lucknow and Darjeeling.

On 23 February 2018, the production house Sun Pictures announced the making of the film and revealed that they will feature Rajinikanth in the lead role. The first schedule of the shoot began on June 7, 2018, at Eastern Forest Rangers College at St. Mary’s Hill, Kurseong in Darjeeling, West Bengal. Rajinikanth made his last on-screen appearance in  Pa. Ranjith's 'Kaala' that released on June 7, 2018.  'Petta' is all set to release on Pongal next year.
