Rana Daggubati fumes at '1945' makers as they announce launch event

Making a movie is not a cakewalk. Not just time, which can go from a months to years, the filming of a venture requires numerous technicians, and most importantly, finance. A movie could be announced with grandeur, but could face hurdles when the costs of production keep increasing over time. There are numerous films that have got stuck midway when the makers failed to raise the money required. That’s what happened with Rana Daggubati’s 1945. As a big announcement was made by the makers of the movie for a launch event, the actor was quick to clarify that the it was an 'unfinished' movie. The Baahubali star also said that the producers had defaulted on his payments, and were using the announcement of the event as a way to raise money and ‘cheat’ more people. Rana asked the media persons to not encourage this.

As a media person shared a new announcement poster of the movie 1945 about the launch of Rana’s first look on Sunday, the actor was quick to reply, “This is an unfinished film with the Producer who had defaulted on monies and on completion. Haven’t met them for over a year. This is his idea of raising money in the Markets by cheating more people :) pls don’t entertain this. Thanks.” 

At the same time, Rajarajan.S.N of K Productions, the banner making the movie, seemed to put the ball in the director's court, replying, “The Director is the one who decides whether the film is complete or not.. Let the audience decide whether this film is complete or not. Almost 60 days of shoot and crores of money invested, nobody will release an unfinished movie. @Sathyasivadir A director decides the script.”

Rana reportedly plays a soldier in the movie and had commenced the shooting in October 2017. Sharing a map of British India and its neighbouring countries, he had then written, “Going to recreate time once again, Now it's the year 1945!! Filming for the second major schedule of my next #1945 begins today!!” He even got himself a new look, shaving his famous beard to don a moustache. “Alright the beard gone!! Moving into another period!! Working on a new look for #1945. First look will be out November!! #faceunderthebeard,” he had written. Regina Cassandara, Nasser and Sathyaraj are among the cast members of the team.

Housefull 4

Meanwhile, Rana starred in Housefull 4 that released on Friday. He played the role of a monstrous character in 1419 in the movie. The movie is doing good business at the box office.
