The Director Of Dhanush's 'Maari 2' Just Dropped A Major Hint About 'Maari 3'

Dhanush has wrapped up the shoot of his next 'Maari 2' and took to Twitter to confirm the news. The actor said that he enjoyed and cherished playing the character of Maari in 'Maari 2'. The actor tweeted, "And that’s a wrap for #maari2 .. loved being maari once again. Can’t wait to be maari again. A character I enjoy and cherish playing. #tharalocal #senjuruven thank you @directormbalaji @omdop @Sai_Pallavi92 @Actor_Krishna @ttovino @thisisysr Robo and Vinod." And much to the delight of fans, the director Balaji Mohan, in his tweet announcing the film's wrap, hinted at a possible third installment. The filmmaker said, "It’s a wrap for #Maari2! Had so much fun bringing this character to life on screen again with the ever awesome @dhanushkraja Sir! #Maari rocks! ✊🏻😎 Will miss him! Till next time "

The Balaji Mohan directorial also stars Sai Pallavi, Robo Shankar, and Vinod and is the filmmaker's second collaboration with Dhanush after the first installment of the film. 'Maari' featured the actor in the role of a goon who extorts money from the locals. Maari's life transforms when a woman named Sridevi played by Kajal Agarwal falls in love with him. Dhanush had injured himself while shooting for 'Maari 2' and had taken to Twitter to assure his fans that he is fine. The actor had tweeted, "My beloved dear fans... It’s not a major injury and I’m well. Thank you so much for your concern prayers and love. Im forever grateful. Love you all. My pillars of strength(sic)."

Dhanush recently shot for a song in the film which was choreographed by Prabhudeva. The actor tweeted, "And we finished filming #maari2 song with our beloved dancing legend @PDdancing sir. Thank you so much sir for all the encouragement , kindness and motivation. I had a great time working with you. Big big hug."

'Maari 2' also stars Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas in a negative role and is slated for a release by the end of this year or early next year. The music for the film has been composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Apart from 'Maari 2', Dhanush will also be seen in films like 'Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta' and 'Vada Chennai' which are also expected to hit screens by the end of this year.
