Tollywood actor Rajasekhar meets with mishap in Hyderabad, escapes without major injury

Telugu actor Rajasekhar was involved in a big accident in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The veteran, fortunately, escaped without any major injuries. He also stated that he is safe right now.

As per reports, the incident took place at the Pedda Golconda on the Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad, two kilometres after the toll plaza at around 1.10 AM on Wednesday. Rajasekhar was on his way home from Vijaywada in his Mercedez Benz 4 Matic car, when it reportedly hit a divider and overturned. The actor was travelling with another person. Both escaped with minor injuries, reports claimed.  The duo allegedly called police helpline number 100, but they were taken away from the spot before the police arrived, a police inspector was reportedly quoted as saying. 

Later, Rajasekhar himself opened up on the accident, stating that his wife, former actor Jeevitha had come to pick him up. His wife also reportedly stated that he was out of danger after doctors treated him at his residence. While there was no clarity on who was driving the car in the beginning, Rajasekhar later clarified while speaking to media persons that he was the one at the wheel. He also revealed that the onlookers came at the venue and took him out. He then called his wife, who came to the spot and picked him up. He asserted that he was ‘safe.’

He is safe 

His daughter Shivathmika Rajasekhar too confirmed that there was nothing worry with regard to his health. The actor tweeted, "Good Morning Everyone! As you guys have been hearing about an accident, it is true, but luckily, Nanna got out without any injuries! Thank you all so much for your love and prayers! He's perfectly alright!" Pictures of his damaged car went viral on social media too. The front portion of the black car was completely smashed.

Rajasekhar is known for movies like Talambralu, Shrutilayalu, Aahuti, Ankusham, Magaadu, Allari Priyudu, Anna, Omkaram, Suryudu, Sivayya, Manasunna Maaraju, Maa Annayya, Garuda Vega, Simharasi, Evadaithe Nakenti, and Gorintaku. He has also won the Filmfare Best Actor-Telugu Award three times. Rajasekhar was last seen in the movie Kalki, in which  he played the role of a police officer earlier this year.
