Venu Madhav, popular Telugu comedian, passes away; tributes pour in

Popular Telugu actor Venu Madhav breathed his last in Hyderabad on Wednesday after suffering from multiple health issues. He had acted in over 150 films.

Popular Telugu comedian Venu Madhav passed away in Hyderabad on Wednesday at the age of 39. He was reportedly suffering from multiple health issues. The actor for hospitalised recently, but was discharged on September 22. However, his health kept worsening after that and he was readmitted and put on life support in the Intensive Care Unit. Venu Madhav passed away at Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad at 12.21 PM on Wednesday.  

The news of Venu Madhav has been confirmed by his family and hospital authorities. Venu Madhav was suffering from liver cirrhosis, diabetes, high blood pressure, and kidney issues.

Glorious career

Venu Madhav’s journey into the world of entertainment started as a mimicry artist. The fame from his acts catapulted him into films. 1996’s ‘Sampradayam’ was his debut in Telugu. 'Master', 'Suswagatham', 'Tholi Prema', 'Yuvaraju', 'Thamudu Nuvve Nuvve', 'DIl', 'Simhadri' and 'Arya' were some of his other popular films. Brindavanam', 'Chatrapati', 'Kick', 'Shankar Dada MBBS', 'Andarivaadu', and 'Jai Chiranjeeva' were some of his notable ventures. He worked with most of the top Tollywood stars like Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu, Junior NTR. Venu Madhav has also worked in some Tamil films. ‘Dr Paramanandaiah Students’ that released in 2016, was Venu Madhav’s last film. 

Even before his entry in films, Venu Madhav used to work for the Telugu Desam Party. The actor even campaigned for the TDP in the recently-held elections. He had even filed his nominations to contest from Kodad.

Tributes  

Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, Nithiin, were among the celebrities who moured the death of Venu Madhav.

Varun Tej tweeted, “#RIPVenuMadhav garu. Thank you for your contribution to telugu cinema. Condolences to his family and friends.” 

“Rest in peace #VenuMadhav garu...you’re place is irreplaceable in the film industry...my deepest condolences to the family members,” Sai Dharam Tej wrote.

Nithiin wrote, “Sad to hear about the sudden demise of one of the finest comedians of Telugu cinema, #VenuMadhav garu. May his soul rest in peace.” 

Directors like Surender Reddy and Rahul Ravindran also expressed their condolences on Twitter. “Saddened to hear about the sudden demise of Venu Madhav garu!! Deep condolences to his family. #RIPVenuMadhav.” Rahul Ravindran’s message was: “Heartfelt condolences to Venu Madhav garu’s family. We will always remember him fondly. RIP”
