Taking to Twitter, Nawaz shared his first look from the film. His character is known as Singaar Singh and in the poster, he can be seen in a somewhat intellectual look. Wearing thick-framed glasses and hair parted neatly to the side, he looks like a man of knowledge and power. It is as of yet unknown if his character is good or bad in the film, for there is already one antagonist. With this fine addition in the cast, 'Petta' looks like a really promising venture. Moreover, it will be really intriguing to see how the dynamic of Vijay Sethupathi, Rajinikanth and Nawaz will play off on the big screen. What's more, the director Karthik Subbaraj is also well established and has earned critical acclaim. On the whole, there is plenty to look forward to for fans of Thalaivar as well as fans of Tamil cinema.

Netizens too seem really psyched with the release of this poster, as Nawaz's reputation precedes. As some welcomed him to the Tamil film industry, others said that they have big expectations from him and are dying to see him share the screen with the Superstar. Take a look at some of the reactions here:
