Rajinikanth's much-awaited film Jailer finally hit the big screens on August 10. As the actor has made a comeback after two years, excitement has been sweeping across the country with grand celebrations. However, amid Jailer's release, the Sivaji actor was spotted in Uttarakhand.

Rajinikanth gets a warm welcome from his fans in Uttarakhand

A video has been making the rounds on the internet wherein superstar Rajinikanth was seen arriving at the airport in Dehradun. As soon as the actor left the airport premise, his fans encircled him out of sheer excitement. A priest was seen greeting Rajinikanth with a garland at the airport as a mark of respect, while others were trying to get a snap with him. 

Without any hesitation, the actor maintained his composure and flashed his million-dollar smile after receiving a warm welcome. After meeting his fan, the actor left in his car, leaving his fans overjoyed at the airport. For the unversed, Rajinikanth has a tradition of going to the Himalayas before the release of his films for a spiritual retreat. 

Box office prediction of Jailer

Rajinikanth's Jailer is expected to get off to a strong start at the box office owing to the huge fan base of the superstar. Trade analyst Ramesh Bala told Republic Media Network that the opening day collection of the movie can be expected to be around Rs. 80 crore. Moreover, he mentioned that Tamil Nadu will be a major contributor to the film. He said, "I feel that the day 1 worldwide gross for Jailer will be around Rs 80 crore on the opening day. Tamil Nadu, of course, will be a major contributor. There the gross will be nearly Rs 25 crore."
