'RRR' success meet: Jr NTR opens up on 'freedom fighter' role; sends message to filmmakers

Jr NTR recently opened up on his freedom fighter role as Komaran Bheem in 'RRR' and mentioned more such stories should be shared with the audience.

Celebrated filmmaker SS Rajamouli arrived with yet another magnum opus last month. The period action drama RRR is currently not only ruling the hearts of viewers but also the box office across the country. The film has emerged to be one of the most successful films in Indian cinema.

It is a package of emotions, drama, action, entertainment and a lot more. RRR follows the story of two freedom fighters who battle against the British government for their respective purposes. While Jr NTR played Komaran Bheem, Ram Charan wowed the audience with his role as Alluri Sitarama Raju. Jr NTR recently opened up on his freedom fighter role in the film and said more such stories should be shared with the audience. 

On Wednesday, April 6, the team of RRR got together for a press conference to celebrate the worldwide success of the film. During the conference, Jr NTR expressed his thoughts on his role. As per a report by Pinkvilla, Jr NTR highlighted the need to share the stories hidden in Indian culture. 

He said, "I think, there are so many stories hidden in our culture which have to be told to the world. I think it is our duty and responsibility to the next generation. When Rajamouli makes such films, he took us down the memory lane and also, gave it back to the society and pass things forward to the next generation."

Jr NTR thanks RRR makers, cast and viewers for the movie's success

A few days after RRR's release, Jr NTR penned a lengthy note to thank the audience for showering RRR with love. He further expressed his gratitude to the film's makers and cast. Addressing SS Rajamouli, the actor wrote, "Thank you Jakkanna for inspiring me to give my best. You truly brought out the best in me and made me feel like water, versatile."

Thanking Ram Charan, he wrote, "Charan, my brother, I can't imagine acting in RRR without you. No one else could have done justice to the role of Alluri Sitarama Raju. Not only RRR, but Bheem would have been incomplete without you. Thank you for being the fire to my water."

He further mentioned how he enjoyed working with Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt.
