Suriya arrives in Rajahmundry to resume shooting for Kanguva, photo with fan goes viral

Tamil Superstar Suriya recently landed in the Rajahmundry area of Andhra Pradesh to resume shooting for his upcoming movie Kanguva. The period drama is directed by Siva. Kanguva's shoot is expected to be completed by October this year.

Suriya to shoot action sequences in the schedule 

On Tuesday evening, a photo surfaced on the internet where the Jai Bhim actor could be seen posing for a selfie with his fans in Rajahmundry. Reportedly, Suriya arrived at the said location for a 20-day schedule. Additionally, reports suggest that the schedule at Rajahmundry contains the shoot for many action sequences.

Kanguva marks the first collaboration between Suriya and filmmaker Siva. The filmmaker had earlier directed films like Vedalam, Vivegam, and Viswasam. Vedalam was recently remade in Telugu as Bhola Shankar, starring Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. 

Suriya was recently also in the news for the rumours about shifting base. Reportedly, the Jai Bhim actor had permanently shifted to Mumbai along with his actress wife Jyotika, and two kids. The rumors grew stronger when pictures of them in the city of Mumbai were leaked online. However, the actor reacted to the news and clarified his kids study in Mumbai and he often lands in the city to visit them.

Kanguva set to release in 10 languages

Kangvua has garnered a lot of hype ever since it was launched. Reportedly, Kanguva is the most expensive film of Suriya’s career to date. A few weeks ago, Kanguva makers released the first look of their film. Kanguva is gearing up for a massive release in April 2024 across the country, in a total of 10 languages. The film will additionally be released in 3D as well. 

Besides Suriya, Kanguva also stars character artist Jagapathy Babu in a prominent role. The film’s music is composed by 9-time Filmfare winner Devi Sri Prasad. Bollywood stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani will also mark their south debut with the film.
