BLACKPINK becomes third female act to get sold out concerts at MetLife stadium

BLACKPINK's global appeal has never been a subjective matter. It is arguably the most well-recognised and successful all-girl group from the K-pop capital of South Korea. BLACKPINK has now added another feather to their cap, achieving a feat previously only conquered by the likes of Beyonce and Taylor Swift.

BLACKPINK becomes the third female act to sell out MetLife stadium shows

BLACKPINK is currently on the last leg of their Born Pink World Tour. Their August 11 and August 12 shows, held in New Jersey's iconic MetLife Stadium has helped the K-pop girl group create history for themselves. The K-pop idols have become only the third female act to completely sell out the stadium.

Before them, Beyonce and Taylor Swift have been the only female acts to have sold out shows at the MetLife stadium. Not just that, this also makes BLACKPINK the first Asian female act to secure back-to-back sold out shows at the NFL stadium. For context, the MetLife stadium seats 82,500 people in one go. 

BLACKPINK has many milestones under their belt

Ticket sales have been another factor propelling the K-pop girl group to yet another milestone, previously left unachieved. The wildly successful Born Pink World Tour has ensured ticket sales upwards of $200 million USD across just 48 shows. This makes BLACKPINK the only girl group to achieve this feat. BLACKPINK is currently inching closer to their final concert under the Born Pink World Tour, scheduled to be held on August 26 in Los Angeles.
