In a recent media interaction, Disha Vakani revealed the inspiration behind her famous character. The actor shared that the character, Daya ben is inspired by a woman who hails from Ahmedabad. Disha revealed that the actor was on a promotional event in Ahmedabad, where she met this unknown lady who was similar to Daya Ben. Disha’s co-star, Dilip Joshi suggested her to amalgamate the personality traits of the girl and renew the character of Daya Ben. Disha Vakani’s portrayal of Daya Ben impressed masses of fans, making it one of the most iconic characters on television.
