"Dracarys," says Missandei in artist's GoT Portrait as the world awaits to see the wrath of the 'Mother of Dragons' incidentally on Mother's Day

The last word uttered by Missendei of Naath before she was beheaded in a 'Ned Stark-like fashion' in the previous episode (The last of the Starks) of Game of Thrones - season 8, inspired Artist Robert M Ball's latest sketch in his Beautiful Death series.

Dracarys.

The last word uttered by Missendei of Naath before she was beheaded in a 'Ned Stark-like fashion' in the previous episode (The last of the Starks) of Game of Thrones - season 8, inspired Artist Robert M Ball's latest sketch in his Beautiful Death series.

In contrast to the action-packed sketch featuring the moment Arya Stark killed the Night King, this sketch features the death of Missandei with a trance-like quality, depicting her dream of visiting the beaches of Naath and enjoying the blood red sunset with Grey Worm. Surrounding the close-eyed, curly-headed Missandei is a vivid blue sky reflecting the chaotic and sudden death of Khaleesi Daenerys Targaryen's second child - The regal dragon Rhaegal, named after her brother Rhaegar Targaryen.  The sky also transcends from its still nature when Missandei died to the violent hues of dark blue mixed with the drops of Rahegal's blood with the fatal arrow which pierced him. Towards the end, the sky manifests into the sea where Rhaegal finally fell.

"Not Today" Says Artist's GOT Portrait Depicting All Major Deaths In Season 8 Before The 'Last War'

Speaking to the producers - HBO, Ball said," Compositionally, I wanted to reference my Beautiful Death for Ned Stark in Season 1, as the staging of Missandei's death referenced his on the show. I worked on a color rough this week, and the finished image doesn't stray too far away from it."

He also made a sketch reliving the first onscreen death of Game of Throne which shocked people to the core with the then King Joffrey's iconic order, "Ser Ilyn, Bring me his head."

Ball has created previously created many such portraits depicting the deaths of major characters in the eighth season of Game of Thrones. The last image echoing Arya's mantra- 'Not Today' featured Arya's Catspaw dagger stabbing the Night King's sigil depicting the last episode's scene where Arya Stark had killed the Night King, thus destroying all his ice-knights and the army of the undead along with the resurrected ice-dragon Viserion.

While Delhi goes to polls on Sunday, the rest of the world waits with bated breath to see the wrath of the Mother of Dragons raining upon the cruelest mother in the Seven Kingdoms - Queen Cersei, incidentally on Mother's Day.

The final season of the popular HBO-produced TV series Game of Thrones (GOT) started with its first episode aired on April 14, 2019.
