'Friends' three-night premiere at NBC collects USD 2.9 million

On Friends 25th year anniversary, a three-night premiere was organized. I’ll be there for you, the song still makes you nostalgic. Joey’s How you doing?, is still one of the favorite lines of teens and adults. The most popular English television series ‘Friends’ is still one of the most binge-watched television series. Even after so many years of its launch, it still has not lost its charm. The television series was aired 25 years ago as its punches and jokes stay as fresh as ever.

The premiere called  'Friends 25th: The One With The Anniversary'  of NBC's sitcom managed to collect immensely huge amount of USD 2.9 million. The premiere of the anniversary was telecasted in over 1,600 theatres across North America which contributed to the collection. This ranked as the second-highest-grossing 2019 U.S cinema based event after the ‘BTS World Tour', as reported by the international media. The mesmerizing and nostalgic event was brought to execution by Fathom and Warner Bros. They partnered along to bring the successful journey of  Friends television series on-screen once again.

'Friends' forever

The premiere was a tribute to mark the 25th anniversary of the show. The event brought together 12 fan-favorite episodes and also broadcast four episodes every night which was re-produced using the 4K technology. If one goes back in time, the popular television series was aired in 1994 and continued till 2004. The show starred the favorite actors Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Lisa Kudrow, and Matt LeBlanc. The era of ‘Friends brought a new meaning to relationships, friendships. The jokes are so fresh, one can still sit for hours and it sure will uplift your mood.
