GLASS OF THRONES: Belfast unveils six GoT-themed stained glass windows around a walking trail celebrating its connection with the show

According to a Tourism Ireland press release, Game of Thrones in collaboration with Tourism Ireland has unveiled a 1.8 mile walking trail of six stained glass windows dubbed 'Glass of Thrones' depicting crucial scenes of each major house of the show, throughout the city to showcase and celebrate Northern Ireland as Game of Thrones Territory to millions of fans worldwide.

'Glass of Thrones' has six stained glass windows one each for the Starks, the Lannisters, the Baratheons, the Targaryens, the Whitewalkers and the last one - the Iconic, now molten Iron Throne. The windows were unveiled over a six-week period just in time for the series finale.

Here are the mesmerizing glass windows in the order they were revealed:

1. The Stark Window (Opposite main entrance of Belfast City Hall)

It was a tribute to the Wolf house featuring iconic scenes of Stark members like Jon Snow fighting one of his many battles, Arya Stark executing the death sentence on Petyr Baelish while her sister Sansa watched on, the Godswood with the weeping gods carved on trees as Brandon Stark sits under the snowy shade warging. The painting displayed vivid colours mainly blue and grey featuring the House Sigil - the Direwolf

2. The Lannister Window (the Waterfront Hall)

This was a tribute to the Lion house featuring the golden armoured resurrected Mountain carrying a 'shamed' Cersei after completing her walk of atonement, Jaime's brave attempt to kill Khaleesi during the battle of Highgarden and Tyrion’s vengeance act of patricide. The painting displayed vivid colours mainly orange and red featuring the House sigil - the Lion.

3. The Baratheon Window (the Lagan Weir)

This was a tribute to the stag house predominantly featuring the Red Woman and her shadow killer, Brienne of Tarth killing Stannis, Joffrey Baratheon's fateful purple wedding and Robert Baratheon's death. The painting displayed vivid colours mainly purple and red featuring the House sigil - the Stag.

4. The Targaryen Window (the SSE Arena)

While others were House tributes, this featured only Khaleesi Danaerys Targaryen scenes from the dragons' birth, Drogon's many annihilating fires with Danaerys riding him to Grey worm fighting. The painting displayed vivid colours mainly purple, red and black featuring the House sigil - the Dragon.

5. The Whitewalkers Window (the Titanic quarter)

This was a tribute to Whitewalkers many conquests from Hodor’s final act of self-sacrifice to the Night King’s winged assault on The Wall itself. It featured the fabled Night King and his Army of the undead complete with glow-in-the-dark eyes. The painting displayed vivid colours mainly ice blue and grape.

6. The Iron Throne Window (Queens Road)

The final installation featured the 1000-sword consisting Iron Throne vacant in a burst of colours with a dark red sky and a deep blue surrounding embodying the clash between Ice and Fire.

The series finale is aired on May 19 on HBO, marking an end to the eight-year-long series based on George R.R Martin's books - A Song of Ice and fire.
