Krushna Abhishek asked not to perform in front of Govinda, 'shocked'

Krushna Abhishek joked, “Maine Govinda ko apna mama rakha hua” on his show in 2016, because of which the latter was unhappy and chose then arch-rival Kapil Sharma’s show to make an appearance. While Govinda could avoid his nephew then, he had another way to do so this time, after Krushna Abhishek joins hands with Kapil Sharma for The Kapil Sharma Show. As Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja made an appearance on the TV show, Krushna says that he was not allowed to perform in front of them, due to the instructions of Sunita. The actor termed it as ‘sad’ and ‘shocking’.

In a recent interview with a daily, Krushna revealed that he was told by the show’s team that Sunita Ahuja was not keen on having his act in front of them. That’s the reason he performed before they made an appearance on stage, the 36-year-old shared. Krushna Abhishek then said that it was ‘sad’ and ‘shocking’ since his act was an ‘integral part’ of the show, since he usually performs in front of the other stars who make an appearance too. However, Krushna stated that he didn’t make a big deal out of it because Govinda’s daughter Narmada had come to promote her album. He also stated that he expected similar behaviour from his elders when it comes to him. The actor-comedian also said that this incident happened at a time when Govinda felt the family’s rift should not be discussed publicly.

All was well

Krushna also said that the incident took place despite him patching up with his uncle, interacting with him at his house and even meeting him in Dubai 20 days ago. He added that Sunita ‘mami’ seemed to have a problem with him.

The bone of contention apparently is when Krushna’s actor-wife Kashmera Shah had taken a dig at someone who ‘dances for money’. The post was thought by Sunita Ahuja as a dig at Govinda, but Krushna reiterated that the comment was for Arti Singh, his sister, who is currently one of the participants on Bigg Boss. 

Meanwhile, Govinda and Sunita Ahuja were seen in several fun acts during the show, including dancing together and the former applying on the sindoor on his wife’s forehead.
