'Sacred Games' sequel has landed into a fresh controversy just days after its release. A complaint has been filed against ace-filmmaker Anurag Kashyap for allegedly insulting the religious faith of the Sikhs. In the second season of 'Sacred Games' that premiered on August 15 showed Saif Ali Khan, who plays the role of a Sikh police officer throwing the 'Kada', an ornament of religious significance worn on his right wrist, into the sea.
In a complaint filed by Delhi MLA, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, he stated, "I am writing this letter to request you to register FIR under the section 153A, 295A, 298 of IPC and applicable sections of IT Act against Anurag Kashyap, director of 'Sacred Games 2' being shown on Netflix. The one-page document further read, "In an episode of the web series actor Saif Ali Khan (who is playing the role of a Sikh police officer) is being shown removing Kada (from his arm and throwing it into the sea in disgust)"
The note concluded saying that, "The series continues to show disrespect for Hindu religion and thus creating disharmony and hatred among other religions".

Before Manjinder Singh Sirsa's complaint about the 'Sacred Games' scene, Janata Party leader Tajinder Bagga also filed a complaint against one of the directors, Anurag Kashyap, demanding that a First Information Report be registered against him.
'Sacred Games' 2 aired on August 15, wherein Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui reprised their roles as Sartaj Singh and Ganesh Gaitonde. Meanwhile, the new season also saw Pankaj Tripathi in a full-fledged role as Guruji. Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey were also latest additions to the series. And, just like the first part of the series, Anurag Kashyap has directed certain portions featuring Nawazudddin Siddiqui, while Neeraj Dhawan of 'Masaan' fame directed scenes featuring Saif Ali Khan.
While many fans waited with bated breath for the sequel of 'Sacred Games', once the series aired, a lot of fans and netizens were left disappointed and may felt that it did not live up to the hype.
On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan has a plethora of projects lined up. Apart from 'Jawani Jaaneman' with Tabu, he also has 'Lal Kaptaan' in his kitty.
