Actress Jiya Shankar recently addressed the issue of online hate and negativity she has been getting after opening up about her personal life. She slammed the trolls and highlighted the need to put an end to it. The actress earlier shared that she has been living separately from her father for 20 years.

Jiya Shankar gives befitting reply to trolls

Jiya Shankar took to X (formerly Twitter) and expressed her frustration in a series of tweets at people seeking attention by spreading negativity. In one of the tweets, she said that if she encounters anything or anybody crossing the line, she will take immediate action against it.

"Said it a zillion times to everyone to stop the hate but I guess some needed personal attention for clout so there you go! Now if I see anything that crosses a line I’ll be taking action against it. Ab bhi bade pyaar se jawab de rahi hu or sure think that I’m trying to take sympathy!" the tweet read.

The Ved actress challenged those spreading hate to come forward with their real identities and faces. She stated that "meaningful conversations" can only happen when people reveal themselves openly. Jiya Shankar said that she is maintaining her calm while responding to trolls and clarified that her intention is not to "gain sympathy".

Addressing the perception that silence might be interpreted as weakness in another tweet, Jiya Shankar stated that she is capable of taking care of herself. She said that she stands up for herself whenever necessary. She also acknowledged the support of her fans in handling such situations.
